ATD Fourth World present in the European Council
The International ATD Fourth World Movement has had a participative statute in the European Council since 1977. It is thus able to contribute as an NGO to different projects.

- Participation in the health workshop in the INGO Conference for questions about the impact of poverty on health related issues. In particular, a presentation of the research action plan”Let’s talk about our health“that took place in Nancy as well as different “Health in the City” Workshops also in the same city.
- ATD Fourth World presented its position on the question of migration of the poorest populations “ATD Fourth World: Migration and human rights” in the framework of the Human Rights Commission.
- Contribution of ATD Fourth World in drawing up the Recommendation “Fight against Poverty”of the INGO European Council Conference, targeting the necessity of putting in place a 2011-2021 action plan for the fight against poverty, which was presented to the Council of Ministers of the 47 countries.
- Participation in the following commissions: “Human rights”, “Social cohesion and eradication of poverty”, “Sustainable development”, “Europe and worldwide stakes”.
- Follow-up work concerning the European Social Charter and especially reading reports about countries in which ATD Fourth World is present. In this framework, comments were noted concerning Article 30 “Prevention and protection against poverty and exclusion” for France or for Belgium.
- Participation as an observer in works of the “Social Cohesion” Commission of local and regional decision-making bodies.
